Donald L. Guntle, age 84, of Portland, passed away Saturday January 16, 2021 in I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Donald was born in Jay County on August 2, 1936 the son of Earl and Ethel Marie (Landers) Guntle. He was married on May 28, 1955 to Eileen Minnich who survives. He was retired from Teledyne Portland Forge and served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife Eileen, Four sons Rick Guntle (wife Dawn) of Portland, Mike Guntle of Ft. Wayne, Steve Guntle (wife Liz) of Selma and Greg Guntle (wife Carla) of Brownsburg, IN., One daughter Deb Moores (husband Tim) of Greens Fork, IN., Three brothers Bob Guntle (wife Janet) of Portland, Jerry Guntle of Geneva and Charles Guntle of Berne, Eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday January 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Logsdon presiding. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Bryant Community Center.
