Dickie D. Haffner age 83, passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Winchester. He was born in Portland on December 6, 1937 the son of Dale and Vera (Bergman) Haffner. He was married on March 23, 1957 to Jacqueline Sue Carty and she passed away on April 14, 2017. Dickie was a farmer and also had worked for Wells Fargo and as a crop insurance adjuster. He was a member of Portland Morning Optimist Club, Gold Wing Club, Jay Lodge #87 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He was a 1957 Bryant High School graduate and attended Bryant Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are two sons Jeffrey Haffner of Portland and Michael Haffner of Ridgeville, two daughters Kathleen Haffner of Muncie and Brenda Reitz of Greenville, Ohio. One brother Richard Haffner of Bryant, two sisters Norma Cash of Pennville and Janice Bauman of North Webster, Eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Paul VanCise presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM and prior to the services on Wednesday. Memorials can be made to the Bryant Community Center. Please observe Covid guidelines when attending the services.
