Dick O. Kelly age 88 Fort Wayne and former Portland resident passed away Monday in Parkview North Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Portland May 3, 1928 the son of Jacob and Josephine (Harden) Kelly. He was married May 16, 1946 to Bettie Farris who survives. He was retired from Sheller-Globe as a product and tool designer. He was a member of West Walnut Street Church of Christ where he taught Sunday school and was a superintendant. He was a 1946 Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are his wife Bettie, two daughters Kellie Kelly (husband Tony Tai) of Fishers and Linda S. Ford (husband Darrell) of Greenfield, Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Gil Alicia presiding. Burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
Memorials can be made to the West Walnut Street Church of Christ.
