Dianne J. McCord age 86, of Portland and longtime Dunkirk resident passed away on Sunday June 30, 2024 at her residence.  She was born in Muncie on February 26, 1938 the daughter of Jacob and Regina (Rozzell) Uhrick.  She was retired from Saint Gobain after forty eight years and was a Dunkirk High School graduate.  She enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

Surviving are two daughters Kimbra Cunningham (husband Mike) of Portland and Kathy McCord of Portland, one sister Rosamond Scott (husband Raymond) of Anderson, nephew Roger Humphrey of Ossian, nieces Sandra Humphrey Williams of Eaton, Pamela Scott Fitzgerald of Washington D.C. and Deborah Scott of Watertown, Mass. four grandchildren Jennifer McCord, Lissy McCord, Sierra Caster all of Portland and Andrew Buckner of Indianapolis, seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons Dana McCord and Kevin Buckner, a daughter Karen Buckner and a sister Joanne Jocelyn Humphrey.

Memorial services will be Friday July 5, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arnold presiding.  The family will receive guests from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.  Memorials can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, Jay County Cancer Society or Jay County Heart Fund.
