Dennis Hart, age 65, of Portland passed away on Wednesday December 14, 2022 in the Jay County Retirement Center in Portland.  He was born in Portland on June 22, 1957 the son of Mike J. and Elnora (Hannon) Hart.  Dennis had worked at Coca Cola in Portland and was a 1976 Jay County High School graduate.  Dennis enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Surviving are two sons Nathan Hart of Kentucky and Nicholas Hart of South Bend, one daughter Ashley Jeronimo (husband Alex) of Berne, step-daughter Latia Henkel of Ossian, two sisters Karen Zeiler of Bryant and Shirley Jacobs of Decatur, Eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Tim Hart and one sister Diana Fark.

There will no funeral services. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.   Memorials can be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
