Deloris F. Nichols, age 97, of Portland passed away Saturday September 5, 2026 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.  She was born in Stricklett, Kentucky on January 20, 1929 the daughter of Marion and Myrtle (Rankin) Brewer.  She was married to Charles Nichols and he preceded her in death.  Delores had worked for G.C. Murphy's in Portland for many years and was a member of Portland Moose Lodge.

Surviving are her grandchildren Drew Shelton, Nick Shelton, Charity Wimmer, Makayla Shelton and Makenzie Shelton, Five great grandchildren and Four great great grandchildren, closest friends Shirley Hayden and Candy Shelton.  She was preceded in death by a son Richard Shelton, three sisters and a brother.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.  Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
