Dean Alan Taylor age 48, of Portland passed away Saturday March 23, 2019 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Muncie February 5, 1971 the son of Dallas "Doug" Taylor and Gloria Jean Hinshaw. He was married May 22, 1999 to Rebecca L. Burns who survives, He attended New Covenant Church in Portland.

Surviving are his wife Rebecca, two daughters Krysten Gentis (husband Zach) of Ft. Wayne and Brianna Taylor (fiance Austin Harris) of Decatur, mother Jean Dull (husband Leon) of Portland, step-mother Terri Taylor of Redkey, two brothers Dallas Taylor of Portland and Darren Taylor of Texas, one sister Bobi Sullivan of Portland, one grandson Easton Gentis and two granddaughters Hadley and Jozey Gentis, two step-brothers and one step-sister

Visitation will be Saturday March 30, 2019 from 10:00 – 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services. Memorials can be made to the family to help with expenses.
