David R. Hapner age 58, of Pennville passed away Tuesday morning in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was born in Muncie October 19, 1958 the son of Thomas and Linda (Friddle) Hapner. He was a businessman and farmer. He had businesses in the furniture market as well as other endeavors. He was a 1977 Jay County High School graduate and attended Hickory Grove Church.
Surviving are his daughter Whitney Borgenheimer (husband Nathan) of Hartford City, his mother Linda Hapner-Jackson of Pennville, two sisters Diane Votaw (husband Stan) of Fort Wayne and Debbie Wilson (husband Greg) of Daleville, Aunt Becky Friddle of FortWayne and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Doll presiding. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 " 7:00 PM and prior to the services Tuesday. Memorials can be made to the Pennville Park or Hickory Grove Church.
