Daniel Gillum, age 68, of Bryant passed away Tuesday December 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Adams County on July 15, 1953 the son of Ralph and Rose Mary (Stein) Gillum. He was married on May 18, 1990 to Tina Steed who survives. Dan was retired from Ficosa in Berne. He was a 1971 Portland High School graduate. Dan was an avid sports fan especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing, fishing and his dogs.

Surviving are his wife Tina, two sons Shawn Gillum (wife Elizabeth) of Portland and Chad Gillum of Portland, two step sons Jason Steed of Portland and Aaron Miller (wife Casandra) of Portland, one brother Jeff Gillum (wife Jama) of Portland, two sisters Virginia Madden of Toledo and Lisa Fritz (husband Don) of Indianapolis, Nine Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Chris and one sister Julie.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday January 14, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.  Following the visitation a meal for the family will be at Evangelical Methodist Church , 930 West Main Street Portland. Memorials can be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
