Chad Iliff, age 50, of Portland, passed away Saturday July 29, 2023 in Signature Healthcare in Muncie.  He was born in Hartford City, Indiana on December 12, 1972 the son of Phillip and Rose (Ludy) Iliff.  He was married on March 5, 1994 to Teresa Resler who survives.  Chad worked for Cooper Foods in St. Henry, Ohio, member of First Church of the Nazarene in Portland and a 1991 Jay County High School graduate.  Chad loved watching sports, was a Colts and Reds fan and was the "Fun Uncle:" He loved making people laugh and was known as the Happy Birthday Song Man.

Surviving are his wife Teresa, parents Phillip and Rose Iliff of Portland, two brothers Troy Iliff (wife Sandy) of Portland and Shawn Iliff (wife) Jessica of Ocean Shores, Wa., one sister Stacie Moyer (husband Nate) of Bluffton, Fifteen nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be Friday August 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Cecil presiding.  Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home and Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church.  Memorials can be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Jay County Cancer Society.
