Carol Ann Hausmann, age 89, passed away September 21, 2026 in her home in South Pittsburg, Tennessee with her family by her side. Carol was born in Portland, Indiana on October 25, 1936 to Orla and Sara Campbell. She was the eldest of 7 children. She grew up a farmer’s daughter, with a strong Christian faith that guided her through life. She enjoyed family life with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings. She graduated from Bryant High School and began her nursing education. A good friend introduced her to Don Hausmann. They began their family in Indiana in 1956 and had four children. Over the years they moved to Michigan, Florida and finally to Tennessee. She always loved the medical profession and worked for a Doctors group as an insurance secretary in Miami and later in life became a beloved LPN. Carol had a love for travel and enjoyed yearly family vacations to parks out west where they would camp, hike, go to museums and more. Favorite trips included Disney World, Family Reunion campouts and Cherry Lake for barbecues, boating and swimming. She continued to travel and loved trips to go antiquing for those special finds which adorned her country home. Carol’s greatest joy was spending time with her large family. She stayed in touch with all of her nieces and nephews, cousins, and even close friends with a visit, a birthday card or a telephone call. “Aunt Carol” was a treasure to all and she was always available to provide a hug, a smile or to play games- especially her favorite game of euchre. Her presence and laughter would brighten your day and we will truly miss her! But we have solace in knowing that she is dancing and watching over us in Heaven and as she always said, “see you soon!” Carol is survived by: Her children Laura Wolfe, Dale and Julie Hausmann, Joseph and Kathy Hausmann and daughter in law, Kim Hausmann. Her siblings: Edward and Ann Campbell, Alan Campbell, Jon and Sherry Campbell, Susan and Larry Myers and Steven and Kelly Campbell. 9 Grandchildren 19 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Orla and Sara Campbell, brother David Campbell, sister-in-law Ruth Ann Campbell, son Ronald Hausmann and grandson Kenneth Etheridge. A celebration of life will be held at Westchester Methodist Church on Saturday, September 26. Visitation will be at the church from 10 am -12 pm with the celebration of life service following at 12 pm.
