Carla J. Ware-Hart age 62, of Portland passed away Saturday June 13, 2020 in IU Jay County Hospital. She was born in Peru, Indiana on January 30, 1958 the daughter of Ralph and Bertie (Davis) Ware. She had worked at Northside Circle K in Portland. She was a member of Portland Eagles Lodge and American Legion Post #211 Ladies Aux. She enjoyed karioke.

Surviving are two sons Daniel Walker (wife Deanna) of Portland and Elbert Keihn (wife Amelia) of Bryant, two sisters Paula Joseph (husband Herman) of Hyden, Kentucky and Clover Bearfield of Ridgeville, Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Ware.

Private Funeral services will be in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Schmit presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. Memorials can be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
