Carla Ann Miller, age 70, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2024 in Sarasota Hospice House.  She was born in Marion, Kentucky on September 25, 1953 the daughter of Carvel Clinton and Elizabeth Gray (Davis) Williams.  She was married on July 21, 2000 to David Miller who survives.  Carla was a beautician, was manager of a McDonalds and also worked for Kroger.  She graduated from Lafayette High School in Ellisville, Mo. in 1972, received a scholarship then attended Beautician school.  She moved to Indianapolis, married David Miller who is from Portland and became a Colts fan.

Surviving is her husband David, son Marshall Todd Williams, daughter Beth Ann Johnston, brother Robert Allen Williams, Six grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Doss Williams

Funeral services will be Thursday February 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, Indiana with Ron Ferguson presiding.  Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.  Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
