Carla E. Horn, age 59, of rural Bryant passed away Sunday November 28, 2021 at IU Health Jay County Hospital. She was born in Portland on February 28, 1962 the daughter of John and Anita (Smith) Mills. She was married on February 1, 1985 to Doug Horn who survives. Carla was a Registered Nurse at IU Health Jay County Hospital and had also been an Administrative Assistant for the City of Portland. She was a 1980 Jay County High School graduate, graduate of International Business College and received her nursing degree from Ivy Tech in 2016. She was a member of The Rock Church and former Republican County Chairman. Carla enjoyed watching sports and was an avid photographer.

Surviving are her husband Doug, Four daughters Jenae Blasdel (husband Jared) of Portland, Dana Dull (husband Lucas) of Thorntown, LeAnn VanDeman (husband Taylor) of Franklin and Loryn Horn of Indianapolis, her mother Anita Mills of Portland, sister Robin Mills of St. Louis, mother in law Arlene Horn of Bryant and four grandchildren Eden, Kinsley, Macie and Solomon

Funeral services will be Saturday December 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Roller presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Tyler Trent Cancer Research Endowment or Peyton Manning Children's Hospital.
