Bettie Irene Morgan age 78, of Portland passed away Tuesday morning in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Jay County August 28, 1940 the daughter of Don Ray and Jessie (Smith) Fifer. She was married to Jim Weaver, Wayne Nuckols and Edwin Morgan who all preceded her in death. She was retired from pre-Mix in Portland. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and attended Portland High School.

Surviving are one son Sonny Nuckols (wife Cindy) of Parker City, one daughter Joyce Duke of Portland, step-son Edwin Morgan Jr. (wife Nancy) of Muncie, one brother Richard Fifer (wife Janet) of Bryant, three sisters Mary Ullom (husband Voyd) of Portland, Ruth Glassford (husband Dick) of Portland and Florence Hassan of Portland, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hundley presiding. Burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to The Hospice Group.
