Bernice Sipe, age 78, of Portland passed away Wednesday November 2, 2022 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.  She was born in Decatur, Indiana on November 16, 1943 the daughter of Emil and Ida (Lash) Baumgartner.  She was a homemaker  and member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are one son Dannie Sipe (wife Sheryl) of Vera Cruz, Indiana and one daughter Jackie Alig of Portland, one sister Flossie Grable of Columbia City, Indiana, Five grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren

Visitation will be Tuesday November 8, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery east of Berne, Indiana with Pastor Steve Arnold presiding.  Memorials can be made to Parkinson's Foundation.
