Barbara J. Deming age 71 of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday September 6, 2018 at her home. She was born in Portland November 7, 1946 the daughter of George and Mildred (Spade) Shepherd. She was married June 4, 1966 to Marion Deyo Deming who survives. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church and 1964 Portland High School graduate.

Surviving are her husband Marion, one son Ronald Deming of Ft. Wayne, one daughter Rhonda Franklin of Ft. Wayne, one brother Richard Shepherd of Royse City, Texas, several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Baird-Freema Funeral Home 221 North Meridian Portland, Indiana with pastor Tony Garbarino presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
