Barbara J. Barton age 85, of rural Portland passed away Thursday morning in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in LaSalle, Michigan on January 5, 1934 the daughter of Harry and Emeline (Hearn) Bowser. She was retired from Jay Garment and worked at Wal Mart in Portland.

Surviving are two sons Jeff Wilson (wife Teresa) of Highland Home, Alabama and Larry Wilson (wife Trina) of Decatur, Indiana. Two Grandchildren

Funeral services will be Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society
