Arleta Rae (Miller) Glover age 85, 1205 Wayside Place Portland passed away Tuesday at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, February 8, 1931, the daughter of Buhrman Silas and Elizabeth Rachel (Spalding) Miller. She was married in 1970 to John W. "Bill" Glover and he died in 1985. She was a district manager for Avon from 1967-1993. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Portland where she was an Elder, a Deacon for four years, and served on session for three years. She also sang in the choir and was a member of Stephen Ministry.
Surviving are one son, Ronald Allen (wife Dani) of Indianapolis, three daughters, Adell Hold (husband Kenneth) of Lexington, KY., Lisa Allen (husband Denis O'Hayer) of Atlanta, GA and Leslie Allen (husband Kurt Zimmerman) of Blacksburg, VA., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Glover, brother, Trenham Miller, and sister, Caroll Miller.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Stan Gockel presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories in Muncie. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Portland Foundation.
