Alan Smith age 21, 1112 North Franklin Street Portland passed away Saturday morning in the Jay County Hospital. He was born in Muncie August 25, 1996 the son of Wayne Hamilton and Loretta Smith. He had attended Jay County High School where he played football and attended Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Surviving are his father Wayne Hamilton of Portland and mother Loretta Smith of Portland, brother Brandon Smith (wife Michelle) of Marion, IL, sister Nikkia Hamilton of Redkey, half brothers John Hamilton and Louis Hamilton both of Michigan and half sister Jessica Crouse of Michigan. Several aunts , uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Mount Zion Methodist Church with Pastor Darrell Borders presiding. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
